I couldn't "Check for updates" my OMWeather, but had to uninstall the old one first and then the updated version showed up in Application Manager... Now it is working fine.

FWIW, I did the 0.20.2 update this morning and am glad to have the weather back on my desktop. Thanks to the authors for this app and for fixing it when weather.com changed their protocols!

Updated to 0.20.2. No problems with update. It updated weather info just fine after a reboot. One thing I noticed is that now it can fetch weather info for next 5 days only as opposed to 10 days it used to do earlier.

I have this exact same problem - my N800 is a brick, because every time I reboot (even a battery-out reboot), I get this White Box and I cannot do anything else.

Did you find a solution? Or was the solution what you suggested (keep rebooting until you can uncheck the applet)? I have tried this but have never been quick enough.

Any help appreciated, before I have to do a hard reset and go through the pain of reloading all my applications.

No, don't do that! Here's what you do: (BTW, not my original idea, read it here on ITT)

1. Boot normally.
2. As soon as the normal screen appears, you have about 10-15 seconds to do the following:

a. click "Home"
b. click "Select applets..."
c. find and uncheck OMWeather.

3. Uninstall OMWeather.
4. Reboot.
5. Install new OMWeather.
6. Reboot
7 Profit!

the latest version of omweather worked fine for me. i was using 1.9 and it wasnt refreshing so i checked for updates in app manager and there was 2.0.2. it worked immediatky after updating. try checking your stations to see if you have in the riight info. if it doesnt work set up a custom station in settings

Many thanks for the suggestion.

Sadly I don't seem to get anything like 10-15 seconds; 2 or 3 seconds is more like it. I can click on "Home", get the drop down menu, and click on "Select Applets..." but before anything is displayed, the big White OMWeather Window Of Death takes over and my N800 is frozen. I have tried about 10 times now (both switching off and removing the battery) but the same thing happens every time.

Any further suggestions? I really, really don't want to have to do a hard reset.

I did the update and everything is fine. Probably worth going to the main omweather thread.
