Well, Java apps probably won't need rewritten. So Eclipse and Jake2 should be good to go. What more do you want?
Totally on board with the alongside thing; but it is possible to write an X11 server in Java, so a hybrid based on Android is just conceivable. (No, I don't think it's good, just possible.) |

Hmmm as a programmer with more Java experience than anything else I'd love to be able to run Android on my N810!
But I don't like it to the point where I'd give up the freedom of choosing my OS. I'd rather be able to run Maemo, Android, Ubuntu Mobile, and possibly that Debian ARM port all together :) (obviously not all at once) |
