Re: USB Control in Diablo
Desiderius, I had some difficulty in getting it to work, though it was quick to get working. Specifically, I had to remove and reinstall both those components in order to get it functioning. I made a text file of the process in order to remind myself in case I ever need to do this again, and pasted it here:
to get usb control, I had to download two different items. One was from the n800's application manager, named "maemo-control-usb" and the other was named "usb-otg-plugin" from maemo garage, https://garage.maemo.org/, (interestingly, the only search that allowed that app to come up was by typing in: "usb-otg-plugin" and nothing else would bring it up. Direct url is "https://garage.maemo.org/projects/usb-otg-plugin/" After both were installed, it still didn't work until I removed and installed both of them a second time, with the "counterpart" installed, (so with them both installed, first remove and reinstall "maemo-control-usb," but not "usb-otg-plugin," then remove/ reinstall "usb-otg-plugin" with "maemo-control-usb" in. I don't know why, but it worked after that. An odd dependency problem?) Good luck, Joe |
Re: USB Control in Diablo
I've just installed diablo on n800 and trying to get USB. The Gui is driving me mad,
so I'm resorting to the command line (using SSH from my PC.) Code:
# apt-get install maemo-control-usb /etc/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list Code:
deb http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com/certified/ diablo user After an "apt-get update" there is still a problem: Code:
# apt-get upgrade Whats the "proper" way to get USB host control in Diablo? |
