Benson,

Good point. The link to the kernel guide referenced seems to be http://maemo.org/development/documen...for_maemo.html.

I think you overestimate the general capabilities of many of us. I'm not that good with Maemo that I'm confident in compiling my own kernel objects. Never been a fan of compiling packages in Linux though I admit it is often easier than it seems.

Can't anyone who has down this successfully, post the necessary files?

Well, I think the guy I linked to said anyone who needed the modules could contact him...

Hi

Just for your information:
I have gotten the following devices to work:
* 3Com USB Ethernet 3C460B, module pegasus.ko
* Future Technology Devices International usbtoserial adapter, module ftdi_sio.ko
* Magellan Explorist 500 in nmea mode, module cdc_adm.ko. With gpsd this one works with maemomapper, the device is /dev/ttyACM0. The Filetransfer mode works too as a regular usb storage device. Beware that the explorist will use the USB connection for powering itself.

All of these with just the regular nokia usb cable, and an A-Female to A-Female adapter.
I compiled the modules myself in scratchbox, following this guide:
http://maemo.org/development/documen...for_maemo.html
and the regular scratchbox and maemo4sdk guides off course.
If someone is interested, I will put the binary modules online somewhere.
