seems like feedelity actually works. one just have to make sure that one is online while adding a feed as it will try to download them, and python apps cant make the tablet auto-connect.

ones thaats done, just hit download and it will grap the webpages of the news items. after that, uncheck its online mode and start reading ;)

I'm guessing that the reason some can open MicroB while offline, is because they use a local homepage (like the default one) and not an actual website.

Just a guess.

may be. i have never seen a reason to change it as its a nice way to access a google search page ;)

No I changed my homepage to google's url and I still have no problem opening the browser in offline mode, it does ask me is I want to exit offiline mode, then I say no and then it opens a blank page, now I can point the browser to any local html file I want. Are there actually people who can't open the browser at all with no connection?
