Every person has their own requirements and what works best for them when it comes to a PDA. I gave up on Palm and other electronic planners several years ago because I ended up spending so much time tweaking and playing trying to get a PDA that worked for me rather than actually getting work done.

I really hope we can get the core PDA applications working well on the Tablet since it would open the door to the many that need that functionality.

Going back to paper isn't all that bad and works much better for me. I use Franklin Covey pages with a hybrid GTD/Covey workflow that I love. I supplememt it with a USB stick with TrueCrypt and KeePass and my n800 if I need Internet on the go.

Somewhat related, but here's a paper-based take on the PDA Planner that's free. (Edit: Hipster PDA was what I was thinking of ...)

Glad to hear it! I used to have a Palm T|X. Can you tell me if the audible alarms work for you in the Dates application?
