Why not..

Buy a WinMo phone(you can install GPS, Opera w/flash etc etc. & once tweaked, the O/S runs very well).
Buy(or use free vers. .89) WM wifi router(making your phone a wifi access point)..
or purchase an Ipod Touch.. tethering it your cell via wifi...

or Hack your Psp's firmware(really easy), to perform the tasks you desire(can also tether it via wifi & the customizing potential is endless)

Or Purchase an unlocked N95.

Thank you again for hosting the Easy Debian file. Your contributions have been much appreciated; sorry if you felt you weren't.

I agree that the community is a large part of why I'm still interested in the tablet...

You must be kidding......... now eee PC has built in BT? I must be living in a shoebox! My eeePC, the original 701, will take a BT after some struggle.

..or sell some of those devices and purchase..

a Sony UX380N/280P/390N..

or an oqo model 2(you can find them for a decent deal, but i dont throw my support behind this device.. if it matters..)

or an Raon Digital Everun

I just can't imagine carrying 6 devices w/nearly overlapping capabilities out of the house each day!!!

I wish you the best of luck on your decision!

Or a wicked-slick Fujitsu U2010/U820. (I'm still wondering what the hardware support level is on those with Linux -- or OpenBSD, for that matter...)

Where are you located Andrew?

I have found that the tablet fits my web needs quite well... and I'm only able to tether @ 19.2 or there about.

You just need to set up some html stored locally on the device that accesses your most used data.

I see you're starting to move in that direction with this >> http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ad.php?t=26036

Attached is an example of something I use on my device for Doppler radar. Unzip and add the doppler directory to your device then run the web page "doppler".

You can then tap the screen in one of the four quadrants and navigate to a new, relevant image.

The images are for the Philadelphia area but the links can be changed :)

This is just one of the many mini web site apps that I built using just the data from the web that I need.

I link to the start pages (stored locally) using either "Personal Menu" or "Personal Launcher". (BTW, without those 2 apps, I would have traded in my n800 quite a while ago. )
