Incidentally I would most like to use a dog, but I think GIMP uses a dog.

You're right, pretty much every animal (and even some non-existent ones like dragons) are already being used by someone.

Maybe we shouldn't use an animal?

Or maybe Penguinbait's idea of a variation on the Linux penguin?

I like tortoises! They are old and slow, just like our hardware now. They also don't breed very often either and take a lot of time to mature. The 770 even has a hardcover just like a tortoise shell!
