Re: [How To] Get Yahoo! IM working on Pidgin and RTCOMM
I have also followed these directions and I still get "Network Error" when trying to connect to my Yahoo account.

Re: [How To] Get Yahoo! IM working on Pidgin and RTCOMM
Just installed RTCOMM today for first time, and followed instructions labeled here only to still receive, "Network Error."
Basing of the poster before last, are we to have Pidgin and RTCOMM installed at the same to time to get the desired effect? I thought the whole point for RTCOMM was to replace Pidgin? A side note, I still have been unable to connect to any of my accounts, whether it be AIM, Gtalk, or Yahoo! |

Umm... that tutorial is kinda old...
Not following it would perhaps be a better idea. |
Re: [How To] Get Yahoo! IM working on Pidgin and RTCOMM
Help! In "Manage Accounts" in Pidgin, I messed up the "Basic" page for my "Yahoo" and "Gmail" accounts. Note the following entries:
Protocol: XMPP Username: username Domain: yahoo.com Resource: (blank) Password: password and Protocol: XMPP Username: username Domain: gmail.com Resource: home Password: password Note: I have not changed the "Advanced" page and I have version 2.6.6 installed on my N800. Good news! Version 2.7.3 cleared up my problem! |
Re: [How To] Get Yahoo! IM working on Pidgin and RTCOMM
I haven't touched Pidgin for quite some time due to the continued Yahoo IM issues - but I recently installed the latest 2.7.3 for Diablo and it now seems to work like a charm.
