Indeed. If the Devices arent out some time before the summit, the summit itself wouldn't make much sense.

The Summit last year was focusing on the beginning of development of Maemo 5, just as the Summit this year should be focusing on Harmattan.

October! I am patient, and it does seem like a great device etc. but it's wearing thin as I am sure so is many other peoples'. I am hoping we hear something this month, otherwise I'll have to start looking elsewear.

Maybe it will come bundled with duke nukem forever ;-)

Funny coincidence... I was watching Paddington Bear with my son this morning. It was the episode wear Paddington mistakenly boards a rocket that is about to launch. Anyway, before that all happens, one of the characters mentions that they'd all get a tour of the facilities after "launch." Of course, Paddington hears it as "after lunch."

Oh, sorry, that's a typo. It should be "Maemo 5 Experience Arena opens".

The idea is similar to chess boxing, but with up to eight simultaneous competitors and alternating rounds of Maemo application or platform programming and steel cage battle using iPod Touches on short lengths of chain. The winning community member reaps the karma of the losers and moves on to the next match.

Windows 7 final is due out Oct 22, which might get some media attention. But before that, a release from Nokia might have a few weeks to bask in the limelight. Or not.
