I haven't tried it but I thought the pull down on the mediastreamer was so that you could use it as you as describing. If it is set for the 770, you get streaming. If it is set for the server, you get remote control. I might be wrong

I have about 40 gigs of mp3s that I can now play at my lesuire from the bed with my mighty nokia 770!
