Re: N900 Power Consumption Profiles
Battery status on my N900 after 12 hours.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2636/...2db44fdd_o.png Making a 5 minute phone call, being online with 3G all day, checking weather status, checking for new applications, using the photo viewer a bit, but did no websurfing. |
Re: N900 Power Consumption Profiles
I think 3G burns through the battery at least 2x more than 2G or 2.5G.

Re: N900 Power Consumption Profiles
Connected to 3G data service, thus having internet connectivity.
The screenshot states 2.5G but that's because I took the photo when I arrived home where there is no 3G. |
Re: N900 Power Consumption Profiles
So basically the N900 is just about the user and how he uses it. You can kill it in a few hours, but at the same time it can last you days... I will be fine, i know that. Can't wait.
When i get the phone, should i let the battery charge fully, or will just for a few minutes be enough and continue with charging later on? |
Re: N900 Power Consumption Profiles
Charge it 20 minutes or so, then you should be able to safely power it up. Don't start calling on the phone right away though, that'll suck more power than anything else you could do. And just keep charging while you play with it.

Re: N900 Power Consumption Profiles
being a moderate phone/internet user, the battery is at 20% at the end of the day.
a couple of days ago, it was at 40% 3 hours after it was fully-charged. turned out that microfeed was hogging 99% CPU. in my opinion the battery consumption is acceptable. |
