LOL qole.

I like the idea of double tap. Twirl is good too (Anyone ever play Ouendan/Elite Beat Agents for the DS? Twirling on that is super intense)

such as shame that an "epic" zoom in and out technique, which also "advertised" in the marketing video is only implemented in web browser.

every video that showing image gallery on N900, i saw the reviewer "trying" to thumb twirling the image which tell me that people expect thumb twirling works in any situation.

maybe this will be another good thing to be updated in the next firmware version (just like N97 include kinetic scrolling in V2.0)..

thumb twirling in picture and maps for starter will be good =)

I think one of the problems with all these gestures breaking out all over the place with different apps and different devices is going to cause huge confusion amongst new users.

its a bit like hidden key options. You dont know what you dont know.

Sort of off topic on the twirling, but still on the browser UI.. it seems a lot of video reviewers get confused about scrolling and selection.

(Not that I've had my hands on an N900, but .., ) the selection method does seem a bit clunky. I was wondering whether using shift-drag (holding shift on the kb, and dragging stylus or finger) would be a possible alternative..

But then I saw the discussion on a thread about the Q3 demo, mentioning the proximity sensor being used as a fire button, and I got to thinking how useful it might be to use proximity as a modifier (like shift or control) to enhance the touchscreen UI - since I guess you can use it without the kb being out. So that, for example, proximity + drag could be used to select text, and so on.

I don't know how easily this could be implemented, but I think it has a lot of potential for enhancing the interface, and not just in the browser.
