What exactly does the German layout look like? I can't really find any pictures :(

german layout has umlaute (ö, ü, ä) and only 2 arrow-keys (left and right). up-arrow is mapped on left-arrow and down-arrow is mapped on right-arrow.

but i guess this is not too much of a problem since you can change the layout of the keyboard to english...!?

Yeah, but remembering where the remapped keys are is difficult without being able to touch-type (I actually do this with all my PC keyboards because I'm too cheap to pay for extra shipping from the States)...

Any idea how Nokia handles warranty claims, if you buy the device from another EU country?
At least outside the EU this seems to be a problem. e.g. there are reports in this forum from Canadian N8x0 users who bought their devices in the US and did run into trouble when trying to claim warranty.

please dont hijack this thread I quickly answered the hijacker question, which was already answered in two other threads and discussed as well.

Please keep this to collect places to order a EU querty version within the EU. (ordering from US is not an option because of fees +600eur)

within the EU you wont have any problems

I bought my QWERTY N900 here:

They had a pretty reasonable price (320 GBP) and cheap shipping to Germany (8 GBP). They did, however, send me the US version -> only 12 months of warranty.
