If you change the Text Size in the browser options to Large it will always automatically reflow the text. Personally, I think this should be a separate option no matter what the text size.

It's not really a problem. Android handles it quite nicely. Reflow works for all websites (Tried only Hero). The N900 reflow has worked once for me as well. Instead, you can use it to jump to the top of the page, since it also does that ;)

I think my eyes have adjusted though. I can read normal sized text on the N900 fully zoomed out. I don't even have to strain my eyes that much or keep the N900 close to my eyes.

Reflow works everywhere for me so far. CNTRL+SHFT I is a PIA to execute, and is IMHO rediculuous, but it does the trick. It is, however, not perfect:

If you have zoomed and then reflow it will reset the page and then when you zoom again it will reflow the text nicely. It seems to stay in relow even after tapping links. Once the you close the browser it resets to non-reflow. So, it appears to be session only.

Frankly, it's a weak remedy. Better to have a user preference to turn it on or turn it off. Period. Also, why not 2 keys

At least I can read the news without killing my eyes, or resorting to inane horizontal scrolling

Now that's a revelation. It's not in the Manual. Serendipity?

Yep, as jaysire said, that's not really true. Android handles it very nicely. Scratch that, my G1 handles it flawlessly. Even zooming in like a madman so that there's 2-3 words per line and reflow still works flawlessly.

Has anyone managed to get text reflowing in portrait mode of microB in PR1.1?

The main site I'm having a problem with is ars, the text just doesn't quite fit in portrait mode, and I can't seem to get the text to reflow at all in landscape or portrait.

Here reflow works ok in portrait mode.

Ars indeed does not reflow at all, even in landscape mode.

Just tried the browser on a Google N1 and have to say that the Android browser has this text re-flow business licked, unlike MicroB. If you take a site like theregister.co.uk and go to one of the articles it will re-flow the text on every magnification step - brilliant. Could this not be made possible on MicroB?

Keyboard shortcut for text size?

(Adding to an old thread....)
I too think my G1 handled the reflow of text very nicely. What I am wishing for is a keyboard shortcut for increasing/decreasing text size. I do this on my laptop a lot, and it would be even more useful on the tablet. It is very slow to: tap the screen, tap the bottom left corner, tap the menu bar, tap options, tap adjust view, tap text size, tap N/L/VL. AND THEN back out of all those menus. How difficult is this to implement? Is there a better place to request such a thing?
