Re: Simultaneous calls coming in?

Incoming call does not show multiple. It only shows the first one it receives. A default service would be ok for some, but the problem I have is slow internet at home. I would have to disable the default because my upload speed and latency is too slow to support VOIP. When I am at work, SIP is prefered because of an open firewall. When I am on a public network, Skype seems to do the best through a firewall. A possible solution would be for the client to poll the server and measure a virtual signal strength and then decide which one to use. I don't know what that would do battery life. Use GPS to decide?

I don't know, but could this in the long run perhaps be something for what I suspect might become my favorite application: Shepherd?

Attila? :)

Re: Simultaneous calls coming in?

Now that I have my N900, I'm running into this problem, too. I always get the SIP call in first, and the 3G call shows as "missed call".

There's nothing wrong with this as long as I'm home (Wifi) and plan to stay there. But it's not always ideal when you're out and your internet-/voip connection is 3G... or you change between access points. I need to manually connect/disconnect from my sip account, depending on where I am. Of course I forget.

Is there a solution that works right now or do we need to brainstorm?

i always am getting the gv calling on my mobile number and not my SIP number :(
Pretty annoying now. pretty much wasted the time on sip setup to get this feature and now i see it doesnt work.

instead of talking about this you should vote for it or make new solutions ;-)
