the drawback of the tunewiki is, that the database doesnt have a lot lyrics, and most of them are not automatic. that means, you have to skip the lines by yourself.
only very few songs have automatically skipping lyrics. |

I think using the Winamp auto-tagger puts lyrics in the tags too if it finds a correct match :)

The Amarok music player for Linux has a panel you can add that displays lyrics. Perhaps a player app could use the same data source. The puzzle then is how to display it.
My first thought is a bodged scrolling algorithm so that 40% of the way through the length of the song, the 40% of the way through the lyrics was position at the middle of a finger-scrollable panel. |

MediaBox is now in maemo.org extras repository and displays LRC and enhanced LRC (karaoke style with word-hilighting) lyrics.
