Re: UK 3 network and vodafone
i ditched 3 and went with vodafone when i got my n900 because i wasn't prepared to wait for a fix from nokia.
my total data used over vodafone since november has been 220mb. and voda give me a better signal and a more reliable data con. i leave everything online/logged in all the time. but my heaviest use is at home =wifi, here in the cafe I'm sat in = free wifi. but all day at work it is on vodafones network since there is no eap-leap support. so i think i'm going to be ok with the 500mb cap. sure i *could* blow it easily, but my usage means i can do big transfers over wifi fairly eaisly. |
Re: UK 3 network and vodafone
Hi,
the problem may be that im a business customer so there are different deals, The 15 quid a month is a taffif to allow you to use your phone as a dongle and mobile internet ( but of course you can do this normally with 500 meg). The dipshit sales staff may not realise its there as its an account addon not just a addon to your tarrif. Hope that helps! MB |
Re: UK 3 network and vodafone
Hmm, I might see if I can have unlimited internet which is £5 a month removed from my tariff if I recall correctly then just pay the £15. I'm well over this month and have got a week till month end... will let them call me first, but I use internet radio at work. It did 4mb in 10mins... 8 hours a day blows it quickly!!

Re: UK 3 network and vodafone
I have been using O2 payg sim w/ data. With the p1.1 update I just used my free 3 sim for the first time. PAYG 10 pounds for 150mb for 90days, then call 444 for add on and they will give you 1GB/ 30 days for 5pounds of the 10 I just paid leaving 5pounds for call.
But... where I live, N London, the connection keeps getting lost in my house, not a problem with O2, so I may can the 3 sim after I get my money's worth and re-topup my O2. |
