If that 3 frames per second performance has you wanting the same thing on the N900 then by all means :D

For me that would not be enjoyable though. If we managed to have a very advanced emulator built just for this device than managed to offload a lot of the work to the gpu so that not only the cpu is doing the work, then I think we would have a lot more room to work with, but that would be a huge task.

Its running on Beagleboard/Pandora at far faster framerates (see here) ;), these are the current games that run/dont run using the emulator:

Ari64 has integrated the latest (Mupen64 2.0) into the Pandora code see here(with code): http://www.gp32x.com/board/index.php...ost__p__788291

We all know that Pandora is close to the N900 hardware, Im sure it can be done..

Actually there's a youtube video of iPhone running mario64 well though the graphics are rendered down...

I still would be happy just with a PSX emu that plays Crash Racing, Dead or Alive and Raiden Project :)

N64 seems a stretch for the 3430 chipset.

all this talk of n64 and psx emulation.... i'd be satisfied with a sega genesis emulator so i could replay phantasy star series

Isn't the Pandora overclocked and also set up to be a stripped down distro with minimal daemons to offer the best gaming performance?

I'd be wary to overclock the n900, but a dual boot option for gaming (off a microSD card) might help.

Hmmm I run pscx on a 1GHz PIII system with 512mb of mem. Of course it does have GL accel so I guess that helps. Anything like that for the N900 would need to support OpenGL|ES I guess to be usable. Good thing pscx is Free Software and could be done if someone who actually knows how to does it :)
