mhm.. you mean the server IP, don't you?

either usb 192.168.2.15 or wlan 192.168.x.x (look at your router or get an app which shows the ip-address)

you may have to edit the usb-interface on your pc or when using wlan forwarding the correct ports in your router.

Search, there are many tutorials on this forum. FYI, you are not going to be able to play games using VNC, its way too slow. You CAN do something like wireless powerpoint however.

it's not hard. just run x11vnc on the n900 in x-terminal (just type "x11vnc" in it and hit enter). then run vnc-viewer on your pc and enter the ip-address of your n900. this should work. (try wlan and don't forget to forward the ports on your pc and router)

You don't have to forward ports if you are on the same network, only if you want to connect across the internet! But remember to check your computer's firewall. Also, to get the ip address of your N900 you can type ifconfig or go into the settings.

for the ifconfig-command you have to install "rootsh" because you have to be root.

On the pc i click right click on the vnc icon down where the clock is and click add new client. Then enter my phone ip (if that what i entered is ip) but i keep getting a message about some error like connection failed. I've done that what you said on the phone: to gain root, to find ip, to enter x11vnc and it should work. But i still can't get it to work. Pls help.

on the phone i enter "sugo gainroot" (i have rootsh installed) then enter ifconfig. it says that my phone ip is 127.0.0.1 Then i enter x11vnc. Then on pc enter VNC viewer and in server enter 127.0.0.1 But it gives me a message that host is refused.
