I downloaded the Linux desktop version, and it's a Java application (that didn't run though, because it depends on a specific version of some other library).

Are all their versions based on Java? No wonder there's no N900 version to download then.. what's in that YouTube video could be some internal test they did with a hacked-together java something.

Or you could be speaking completely without any knowledge at all, and I suspect you are. Just because the Linux desktop version is java in no way means that the N900 version is based around java. For starters they would have had to cobble together a running java environment (or included one in the app) Since java + N900 are not good friends at the moment.
Secondly you can see that the app has been "hildonized" though I don't really think that term applies as much as it used to. Navigation through the app follows the standard N900 format.

The video was posted 6 days ago, nowhere in the video does he say its ready for download. I suspect this was a teaser for something that will show up in the app store - should Nokia ever pull their finger out of their *** and fix it for the N900

No doubt it will be available in not too far future.

They seems to have the app for pretty much every smartphone OS there is.

What on earth do you mean by that? I know exactly as much as I wrote in the posting, no more and no less.

You intimated fairly heavily that it was a java based app based on little or no information.

My first question is, will this version of Weatherbug contain their famoust adware/spyware like its PC counterpart?

"little or no information"? I downloaded and installed the Linux Desktop version, and that version is Java based. I then went on to ask if the N900 version was also Java based. What more do you want? FYI, Java-based applications tend to be Java-based for all platforms, that's why they're written in Java in the first place. I still didn't say I *knew* the N900 version was in Java too, that's why I posted.

Any news about WeatherBug?

On this page they wrote it is released and aviable at the ovi store: (since May the 26th)
http://weather.weatherbug.com/aws-co...e-Computer.asp

But I can't find it at ovi here in germany. Is it only aviable in the U.S.?

How expensive is this application? :)
