scp/dput has always been tempernental for me. Someone else may be able to elaborate, but I just use the Extras Assistant which works fine for tarballs ~ < 20 MB.

Wow, the last killer app I used on my E90 is finally available on my N900. The transistion is complete.

Yep, I will try the extras assistant after I perform some refactoring/cleanup...
