Re: N900 touch screen calibration not accurate
Just tried this myself!
Sketch is about the same accuracy i.e. closer but not perfect. However hitting things in the corners seems much easier! I can hit More every time now :) |
Re: N900 touch screen calibration not accurate
How do you get it to show you the cursor? By that I mean how can I see (in VNC on my PC) where I am tapping the screen with the stylus?
EDIT: I am using RealVNC Enterprise Edition v4.5.1 |
Re: N900 touch screen calibration not accurate
i did as you instructed, but in the sketch-app, i noticed a clear difference, in a negative way. but it wasnt too obvious.
when i calibrate clicking the center of the circles (the way the calibrationprogram asks us to click), the sketch-app is perfectly fine to me. i had some problems with getting the context-menu for links in the browser, so i'll work with your calibration-method the next few hours to see if it makes a difference in other parts of the OS. |
Re: N900 touch screen calibration not accurate
Decided to try this myself and it made no difference to Sketch compared to calibrating using the centre of each target, but it has made the rest of the phone behave better around the edges and within the browser links seem to be easier to hit.
This very odd. |

Re: N900 touch screen calibration not accurate
Just for the record...
My N900 was showing problems with the calibration that made untouchable the final of the left side of the screen. After months reading about that, I just removed the screen protector and I realized that the calibration changed. So I made a new calibration and now it is OK. |
