Why not have multiple ICE cards (wallet, in a small container on the necklace, in your bag)... just in case people have problem utilizing the N900 or it's not around to be accessed.

If you work in scary conditions there is a considerable chance that your phone will be smashed to pieces if something terrible happens, so I would suggest getting a dog tag with your full name, blood type and an ICE number.

Yeah, we average about one staff member a year attacked with pointy bladey things while on home visits, ranging from kitchen knives to samurai swords. Actually, neither would impact the phone in my coat pocket. And oddly, the clients often calm down and ring the police themselves once they see the red stuff... not even stopping to rifle pockets.

Of course, it's supposed to be Risk Assessed. But our security guys actually recommend using the ICE system in your phone.

But seriously, wouldn't an identity bracelet be more reliable in every way? A hospital guy won't necessarily know how to look at the N900, but most will know how to read a bracelet and will look for one for emergency med info automatically.
