SO probably what he put there WAS correct but overall whole flash guide is in my opinion quite horrible. I could not even update my firmware when i followed it :|

We really should make something to that. It's just filled with notes and terminology that's not clear to all people.

Funny (or sad) thing is that after when i flashed my fiasco image my N900 booted up automatically.

I think the statement that has been stumping me was this
When flashing the eMMC content, always flash the eMMC image first, then the FIASCO image. Do NOT boot up the device between the two!
So I've been looking for two files to install, and then the firmware.
Now I'm thinking that the FIASCO image is actually the firmware ?
Right, the Vanilla one is the eMMC, the COMBINED one is the firmware
If I'm right I think I need to hook up the phone in usb mode and then in x term use the following:-

flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.41-1.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f

Yep, you're right, that flashes the eMMC without rebooting the device.

Then after complete, and phone still in usb mode due to not ending the command with -R and again in x term use:-

flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R

In windows it's called Command Prompt, aka CMD, but that doesn't matter, you got the point ;)

If I'm right the phone should now reboot with:-
(1) Global firmware installed Correct
(2) eMMC completely wiped Correct
(3) Only data remaining on the phone will be on my Micro SDHC card And correct

So in essence a completely reformatted phone in essence the same as a hard factory reset (*#7370#) on Symbian phones.

*#7370# with a mass memory format.

Phew !, If i'm right can someone confirm (and I'll run thru it), equally if i'm wrong can someone correct me (and if thats the case, I'll come back to it tomorrow :().

Comments in black, if you're in a hurry, you were right on all, it's like a *#7370# with a mass memory format.
You can try one more thing, flash the firmware first, boot up normally, set up everything, install rootsh open terminal then (as root):

rm -rf /opt

umount /dev/mmcblk0p1

To make sure this worked open file manager, Nokia N900 should be empty/unmounted.

Code:

rm -rf /home/user/.*

I'd suggest backing up MyDocs before doing this, the unmount should prevent anything from being deleted, but you never know what happens
After the steps above reflash the firmware again to restore stuff that shouldn't have been deleted from /home/user
Try Sygic again, if it doesn't work, an eMMC reflash is your only hope.
Again, backup everything, MyDocs shouldn't be deleted using the steps above, but better be safe than sorry :)
Your settings will be deleted.

I'm not sure what's with all the inconsistency, I'm also not sure who edited the tablets site but the editor could've looked at the wiki and moved what was a warning there to the tablets site, I can rewrite that wiki section if you want, but please can you test if the eMMC first then FIASCO works?

And before anyone starts shouting at me, thats not a critiscism, merely an observation to hopefully get it improved - anything that makes learning easier, is obviously going to encourage more active users - and thats got to be a good thing ;)

Exactly. Actually i have rewritten barebones version on my own an lets see if i manage to get it in some shape. I think that first of all N900 needs completely different page. Too much information is too much. I have read Nokias own guide and try to adapt that same way of doing it. Not much text. Easy to follow. Troubleshooting on seperate section. I´m trying to find n900 sketch images but only ones i could find are in n900 user guide from nokia.

And you also probably noticed from my another link that Marcell is Nokia employee.

You do not have to rewrite it if you leave it as Marcell edited it. Except he left there inconsistent stuff. Argh..Dunno. I will do my own version and post it to you. Let´s say in week.
