Ah, nice to get some details... Qole, it looks like they pulled your comment from the Facebook page.
I hope to be there as well. Quote:

Nah, I pulled my own comment. It was just snarky.

Don't believe me, eh?
Here's the Facebook group for the Vancouver meeting: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=115345078488465 And the one for Torontonians: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=117234321636963 |
Re: [Toronto & Vancouver]: WOMWorld Meetup - Maemo
Ok folks, if you live in or near Toronto, please try to go to the Drake Hotel tonight for the MGoTO 1 meetup.
The Vancouver meetup was sparsely attended and I was the only currently active talk.maemo.org guy there (Hubert Figuiere, one of the Maemo Abiword devs was there, wearing an old-school Maemo "code in your hands" t-shirt, but he said he isn't working on Abiword any more and he's working for Apple now) So try to get out to the Toronto meeting and show them that maemo.org has some Canadians involved, too! Tell Tom that qole sent you! ;) |
Re: [Toronto & Vancouver]: WOMWorld Meetup - Maemo
I'll be there and some writers for maemofanatics.com will also be there.
Thanks for the free bump. |
Re: [Toronto & Vancouver]: WOMWorld Meetup - Maemo

Re: [Toronto & Vancouver]: WOMWorld Meetup - Maemo
By the way, I asked Anurag Thakur, the Canadian technology marketing guy for Nokia, why they aren't selling the N900 in Canada. He said they aren't selling the N900 in the States either, at least not the way that Wind meant. He said that they are only selling the N900 in North America through "retail channels". He said it is considered inside Nokia as a "developer phone" and the next one, due out later this year, will be sold by North American carriers (including Canadian ones).
