Re: Ari Jaaksi begging to be kicked
Well, there you go. The reason we still don't have PR1.2: the guys deciding when to bother releasing it for us mortals already run it, and have been running it for weeks, maybe even months.
They just don't seem to care what we think, guess that's because they already have our money. But that's what we all love and expect from Nokia. Every single time, nothing changes. |

Re: Ari Jaaksi begging to be kicked
I thought that was the point of the N900, you know, early adapters and hackers and all. I'd like to do some testing, where can I sign?
Oh right, only for administrators here, silly me. |

Sure, open testing would be great and I'm looking forward to that with MeeGo. But consider: who's going to ignore Ari Jaaksi when he reports bugs? |

770 was for hackers, n800 was for early adaptors. n900 is last step before mass market product so a lot must be changed since 770... e: btw who remembers very first maemo ssu's? with sweatty palms you took battery off and hoped that the reboot loop goes by |
Re: Ari Jaaksi begging to be kicked
Odds are PR1.2 will still have some bugs, so guess what? Test away. ;)

Re: Ari Jaaksi begging to be kicked
There was a brainstorm entry about making this process open and I remember It got lots of votes. Why not doing anything about it? I think Anarae is right about his question, if N900 is for above average user, let them participate and everyone will be more happy, and maybe it can help to speed up testing process.
