Why not constantly stay on fMMS APN? For my T-mobile USA network, it connects to the Internet just the same. 3.5G in all its glory. I don't understand the reason to use the original APN at all

It might work for T-mobile, but that doesn't work for everyone. I, for one, can't connect to internet on my mms-APN for Telia Sweden.
