Re: Apple responds to Adobe "We <3 Apple" campaing

Re: Apple responds to Adobe "We <3 Apple" campaing
I'm socked.
Adobe is a fish out of the water... dying, convulsing... Adobe killed by Steve's "open letter". Before iPad hitting the mass. You can love him, you can hate him, but this guy is a genius. I love only four Apple "computers", Apple I ( the myth), Apple II (the success), Apple Lisa ("we will change the world soon") and Apple McIntosh (original 128, 512 or plus, "we changed the world") Only one failure, NEXT computer (not Apple, only Steve). But remember: the WEB born over a NEXT CUBE COMPUTER (Tim Berners-Lee designed WWW, HTML, WWW browser with his Next cube, first history web server), then SUCCESS IN THE FAILURE!!! I feel a mix between fear-admiration-expectation about Mr Jobs. Sorry Adobe. You are check-mated. EDIT: If Microsoft does not wake-up soon, will loss its' home-computers kingdom early, we are changing, I don't want "my computer on my phone", I start wanting "my phone on my computer", then mobile OS slowly will "invade" desktop-laptops: bigger screen, bigger keyboard, "connect" my phone to it and enjoy the few hours at home... |

2. Because Apple commands a large mindshare and there is a rather large cross-section of (current/potential/ex) iPhone users with N900 users apparently. 3. This thread? It pertains to html5 vs flash, which matters to Maemo/MeeGo. ps: Here's a mirror :D |

Re: Apple responds to Adobe "We <3 Apple" campaing
I found it to be quite a bad responce to Apple as well. I figured that Adobe was trying to win a popularity contest by being friendly to an enemy. Sadly in the real world (especially the business world) nice doesn't cut it.
There's a reason why the Google mantra is 'Don't be evil' and not 'Be good.' |
Re: Apple responds to Adobe "We <3 Apple" campaing

I don't get it - is the guy that made the picture taking a shot at Adobe or Apple?

sent from my iPad Actually, I should take this post more seriously. What should I do, gush about the N900 on every other post? I've had other linux based handhelds before getting the N900, so having xterm in my pocket is not a big deal for me anymore. To me, what's special in N900 is its task manager; and well, the browser is decent. Other than that, not so special (to me). Everything else is pretty much par for the course for Nokia: - Hardware is good, Nokia's standard. But it's not extraordinary. - Performance is good, but all Cortex A8 based devices share this same trait. - Other than the task manager (and browser?) the rest of the app is par for the course for a linux distro. PIM apps are below standard. Phone app is somewhat below the standard (no USSD, no MMS). Email is just sad. So, I don't have that much great thing to talk about my N900. Excuse me if I find other things more amusing at this point in time... |
