i did a downgrade like you said. first downgrade to 1.1.1 and then only update cellular software to 1.2

Am i going to have troubles if 1.2 will come officially? or any onther problems when doing this kind of downgrade?

Lucky I guess, but I have zero issues with 1.2. Been running it for almost two weeks. Also running the updated transition.ini file and wowwwww...anyone who wants silky smooth UI with the lag taken out needs to play with that. Sorry about the off topic but it is just wow.

my phone was very laggy and that's why i downgraded. how do i install that updated transition file?

My sense is that the overwhelming majority of people who installed the leaked firmware are not having significant issues.

We hope that the real stuff will be available soon and don't expect problems installing it over the leaked stuff.

Check out this thread for the transition stuff. The 4th page of the thread there are instructions and there are various files throughout the thread you can test. I am using the updated version with no blur it makes the phone feel dramatically different:

Does the leaked PR 1.2 include all the QT stuff that is necessary for many apps in HAM?

after running the pr1.2, i could not go back to old f/w

Yeah, but you also have a pretty hacked up device.. I've been reading all your mods for awhile now.
Plus you had it OC'd to 900mhz (was it permanently?).

I've seen many people here are having great success with 1.2. Very mixed results.. What programs could have caused your device to die?
I can't see it being completely 1.2 to blame due to the amount of success around.

had my n900 o/c'd @ 900mhz permanently......

after running pr1.2 @ 900, my device got very unstable after a few wks..

it was all of a sudden also. it was unusable! then i think i rebooted and it wouldnt load past the 'dots'

i eventually found it was due to a corrupt emmc..

reflashed old f/w and emmc, then pr1.2...... worked again. :)

it may have been due to me o/c always @ 900mhz with unstable pr1.2 f/w and emmc was corrupt
