It's relatively new (they opened for business this year if I'm not mistaken).

can you specify if you had their proxy 10.100.3.4:8080 enabled or disabled? i found it got the settings automatically, but it left the proxy disabled. works fine but i didn't check for throttling like you did. |
Re: New carrier in Canada (Mobilicity)
hi there, can one of you guys please confirm...
1. whether the sms text time stamp is not off by 4 or 5 hours? This is a problem on the f-ing stupid Rogers network with N900. I've been trying to hack the phone to resolve this for my wife. 2. whether you can send and receive MMS messages OK. Rogers is able to get N900 to receive MMS but not send using fMMS. I know it's not the phone because I can use a T-mobile sim card and send/receive MMS just fine. |
Re: New carrier in Canada (Mobilicity)
does anybody have experience using mobilocity in vancouver?

Re: New carrier in Canada (Mobilicity)
n900fan75,
1. SMS was also off for me when I was with Rogers, when I moved to Mobilicity you will be happy to know that the time is correct. 2. Sorry, Unfortunately I do use MMS |
Re: New carrier in Canada (Mobilicity)
excelar8,
I am in Vancouver and using the N900, and the service has been good so far the call quality is great, there are a few dead zones but otherwise a good network. You can definitely notice that this is a new network (dead zones) but that is expected and hopefully they will be able to work out the kinks in the coming future. |
