Exactly but some people like that. Apple have their own way of shafting their customers. IT's just a question of how you prefer to be shafted.

That's a lot of shafting for a Sunday afternoon.

i think the n900 is a brilliant device...really happy with it and would think a second about getting a droid, iphone or htc ... the webbrowser is better, hardware keyboard (its just a pity that the headphone jack port is at the bottom and not at the top, gets in the way when you have something plugged in and want to access the keyboard), and the main reason for me: i love the interface and the homescreens.

the downside is the email client which needs drastic improvement, limited editing functions, lack of apps (ovi store) and nokias AWFULL imformation policy which is embarassing.

@Blinde

Thank you!

@bjknight

My post here wasn't meant to be an "I love you just the way you are" thread, if that's how you've interpreted it, I apologize. It was meant to be something more along the lines of "If you've owned a Nokia device in the past (I have, several) you know how Nokia is" (as you stated), or "Accept things as they are and work towards a positive solution". I'm also not here to tell everyone they can't vent; I know we're all entitled to our free speech but not just that, that this is also an open community and like you and fpbrooks stated, you're going to hear things like this no matter what.

@fpbrooks

Yeah, that's what I do. I refrain from posting/replying to all the negativity, and just do what I can to help other users achieve the most "potential" out of their device by helping them with what I am capable of helping them with. Thank you for your input though.

You don't have to say you love me
Just be close at hand
You don't have to stay forever
I will understand
Believe me, believe me
I can't help but love you
But believe me
I'll never tie you down

Nokia really screwed this one up. Do they really think we or customers after reading how they screwed N900 up so bad will really want to buy n920 or what ever it is called. I for one will NOT buy the next nokia phone. I am really disappointed they way they handled n900. A lot of basic functions is just plain missing.... On the hardware part it is probably one of the best phone out there but to just watch Nokia not market this phone properly makes me wonder what they are doing. Anyway only time will tell. I will sit back and keep a close eye on the android because i believe it is about to wipe Maemo off the list soon and by soon i mean VERY soon.

It was never sold with the idea it will become a "better Symbian" with better features. The N900 is NOT a normal phone with all your typical applications/features. Go buy yourself a Symbian OS, if you're looking for simple n00b features.

Re: The N900 as it is

Imho, every cent Nokia spend on making n900 a dream machine (what it is today + everything a Symbian can do, then spice it up with a working OVI-store), they would have back 10-fold from the next device.
As a reputaion-builder the n900 is a failure...
