As far as the whole "who's a dumbass for buying this app" - why not congratulate the guy for supplying an app that's putting money into his pocket. As a programmer, hell... I'm impressed. If you're not... then how about this. Give me $13k a month and I will praise the living **** out whatever you come up with. Deal? ;) |
Re: Android app brings in $13K a month
too bad we don't have a working app store, or a device that appeals to the market at large, or a company that actually wants to compete in the marketplace with Google and Apple.

But it's obvious that people don't think they should pay for software... again, take a look around here. Sorta odd that each N900 purchase makes Nokia richer, but nothing comes back to the developer other than notoriety. Hmm... |
Re: Android app brings in $13K a month
I think in the N900 environment, you have to make your program stand head and shoulders above the free stuff to make any sales. And quite frankly some of the free stuff, while lacking polish, will be hard to compete with. It's a numbers game and N900/Maemo is lacking. OTOH there is a vacuum for great software and if a dev team puts in the hard yards and polish, there is a chance of a decent payoff. Just don't expect consistent revenue after the first month of launch.
