I can use any of my headphone as well which is a big plus

I have an Logitech Freepulse. No fancy playbackcontrols, only an internal volume changer. Works great and isn't that expensive.

Thanks but I'm more interested in the best monoaural headsets around (convert to stereo option might be handy, but not imperative).
The best I've found so far seems to be discovery 975 or voyager pro*, still comparing though, any favourites?

I'll get a BT stereo headset later that'll need to be rugged enough for jogging etc, but it's not a priority now.
BH-214 is a candidate, but I don't like the fact that it re-injects wires into the equation.
I don't need optimal listening quality when I'm jogging etc.

*Which by many accts is better than 975!
Aside from being bulkier, less stylish, & not having the gimmicky battery extender case.
(I'd rather just have a headset with longer talk/idle time).

I have a Jawbone ICON and it is Killer. You can get a custom molded earpiece made FTW!

I saw this review which puts the 975 ahead in areas I'm most interested in (jawbone won overall but).

I don't care about the extra "apps" ecosystem the Icon purportedly brings.
But as mentioned in my earlier post, Voyager Pro may be even better for me.
Because I'm not particularly interested in the advantages the 975 brings over the Pro.
Icon's def. on my short-list but, anyone else have a fav. monoaural?

Is there anything not working as you'd expect it to?
Are their functions that work on other phones, that don't on the Discovery 975 + N900?

I'm interested in a decent monoaural headset like this.

I've had all the Jawbones as well as the Blueant Q1. As before, I like the Jawbones, the Icon is the best of the Jawbones, by far. All the earlier ones had a quirky switch arrangement, that was way too cool and way less functional. The Blueant has nice sound, but short Batt life, and an easily damaged "stem" on the earpiece where the rubber gelpad attaches. That makes the Q1 very prone to damage. Another advantage of the JB Icon is it uses Micro USB, same as N900. Blueant's connector is proprietary, you must use expensive blueant PSUs.

Ignore Jawbone's "Software" appz, pretty useless. They do have one great feature though. You click the button and it gives you estimated Battery life left in hours. I like that a lot.

Yeah stylish & tiny (at the expense of battery life) isn't a big priority for me.
For e.g. the vpro is quite humongous, but i couldn't care less that it looks dorky, look at it's battery life compared to other models etc.
