Yeah that's my point same MP but lenses is what I am wanting to know. Which one is better? Carl ziess or the iphone one?

Take a look at the video. Some what I felt like iiphone got manual focusing. The video switches between long distant to close distant shot. Why Can't N900 do this with built in function?

Also PAUSE is a must.

Here you go take a look at the snap shot of iphone 4 camera. Looks sharp and clear. I don't know what to say..

iphone 4 picture image size is somewhere 2.25MB each! Whereas N900 is various from 700kb-1.9MB

My images are 3-4 mb each! Yes i have modded the camera config.

Haven't really tested it out since i'm never in a position where i need to take a picture. Quality comes most from knowledge how to take a picture, lightning, settings and such not from how big the image size is but best would be to get raw image from the camera.

Raw is hard to get directly from the camera. Since it is processing after the picture is taken and convert. But yes still possible if someone willinging to digg it out. It have to store as a cache somewhere before converting. Jpg is lossly, but if we can turn the quality to png would be lossless.

You can try use any other compress method just change it in /etc/gdigicam I have changed it to :
element=jpegenc
quality=100

Just try to use png or something.

I changed it and the quality is pretty much still the same and the size too lol. And n900 doesn't have PNGenc ftw!!

Did you even read the first line, i bet you didnt even enable the config file.

I enabled it ages ago.
But for some reason, my config file is no longer in the folder o.O etc/gdigicam

Mine to share me yours? Mine is gone O.O wtf?? Gone?
