Well as I had just bought the N900 then, I didn't really know how to use it, I thought I had done something wrong to make the application manager so slow... so I thought the easiest way would be to reflash.

I got my phone from a Nokia store in Hong Kong, it had "n900-locales-ppchinese" preinstalled and extras-devel enabled (!!?). Has that been the case elsewhere? Obviously that package is not ready for production use, hasn't even been updated since I got the N900. I don't live in Hong Kong anymore but if I feel like playing with Chinese stuff again, looks like Ricardo's solution will do the trick.

i have tried Ricardo solution (edit etc/oss-af-init/locale file)
but problem still , any idea pleazzzzzzzzzzzzz
