Re: n900 incoming call problem

if he dont know wthat is pr 1.2 you guys should stop to tell him to overclock.
first overclock is just something for guys that know what to do,you will loose your warranty and maybe your phone will be laggy and "bricked"so you will have to flash it.
but if you dont know what pr.1.2 is i guess you dont know what flashing is.
pr.1.2 is the actual firmware.
go to the program manager and install all updates then reboot and maybe your problem will be solved.
and i recommend to you>
DONT LISTEN TO THE GUYS HERE AND DO NOT OVERCLOCK YOUR PHONE!!!!!!
if you have learned something about your phone, voltages, batteries, mhz, if you now how to flash and if you dont give a **** about your warranty you can try it

Re: n900 incoming call problem

Call up Nokia tech support and they should solve everything.

Seriously, the phone aspect of the N900 is sub par.

1) everytime i hold the N900 I lose reception (just like the iphone)- i think ill post a video.

2)when i answer the person cant hear me for the first 5-10seconds. WTF?!?!

Great computer, horrible phone...and I have PR 1.2

Wierd result...

I'm using PR1.2 & even have the devel/testing repo added (& bucket loads of apps).

I haven't had any reception holding the phone...I was on a call for over 60 minutes yesterday & the signal didn't drop once...and I don't have the 5-10 second delay like you mention.

I *do* get the 2-3 sec delay before the phone actually rings, but that's not unique to the N900...and even that might be a small bug in one of the phone apps I installed (which I seem to remember peeps complaining about re that app)

Anyone else out there with similar probs to the above?

Nate.

I deleted my previous remarks since the OP didn't think they were aimed at helping him.
