what you said using the command line helps....but does every user have to do all those things to get a simple playlist on a mobile??

its like nokia releasing a new mobile and tells us to open terminal and type the number u want to call and then type "call" in the terminal itself to make a simple call....

i didnt mean to be rude ok???what u suggested helps in one way....but sometimes the very fact of user friendleyness is lost...

What else you can expect to be answer. I think that probably everyone here agrees that solution is not optional and works for people who are pretty familiar with linux and terminal. That´s it.

This explains it quite good. (For those who are not YET familiar with their media player PLEASE also try to touch top part of your application window. You will get menu from there where you can clear your playlist)Also this is not optional way of doing it and it should be easier, but this is what it is. If somebody is not happy with Nokia's official apps then give feedback directly to nokia discussions or nokia conversations. Here in community forum best way to give feedback is probably by making your own software or reporting bugs in other devels apps. Try different media players and find one that fits best to your needs and use it.

I managed to do (bit slow, but users should also remember that you can change from album view and you can always search just by typing) my own playlist with that guide. I do not understand what is the problem :|

I think that Nokia did not have enough time to do usability tests with the media player.

At least there is a video on Youtube:

But, I agree that the current implementation of the playlist creation is too slow. If I compare it to Listenial for the iPhone, I see one big difference that makes it faster:

The plus and the minus signs at the side of each song. That would make it much faster - instead you have to wait 2 seconds on the N900 for the drop down menu to add or remove a song to/from the playlist.
