Wait I think both oses can suit the same needs when it comes to modding. Hardspl unlocking in Windows Mobile is rarely needed when it comes to doing stuff like installing custom themes, installing Linux distributions, installing apps on the sdcard, and tethering contrary in Android rooting is usually a difficult process and is required for installing custom themes, installing Linux distributions, installing apps on the sdcard, and tethering. However Windows Phone 7 will the quite the opposite of Windows Mobile classic and Maemo where you will be locked out of sideloading apps, filesystem access, memory cards, custom themes, and tethering. Oh well good bye to good old clunky Windows Mobile and hello to Microsoft iPhone 7.

It's like a batch of biscuits. When the plate comes out and they're hot and fresh, a bunch of them disappear right away because people want to get the fresh product and try it out. Once they tried it and a sufficient number of people started to make faces and put them back onto the plate, the number of new takers dwindles significantly.

What I'm saying it, the N900 is a rotten batch of biscuits sitting in a tray. :) Worse, still, they're a 10-month old batch of biscuits and discounted down to a third of their price. heh

Maybe. Maybe. How well did the Nokia N900 sell in Finland compared to Android, Apple and others? Just curious to see if they're ANYWHERE near each other.

Well maybe Nokia fortunes will change with the Nokia n8. Maybe that will be a fresher batch of biscuits and maybe that will sell well enough.

A coworker has a galaxy s and it's a really nice device.

I'm tempted to buy one just skip waiting on the nokia's announcement for the n9.

That being said just wish it had a front facing camera and flash, besides that it's a great device.

I don't know about the N8, but hopefully the fact that they're tossing out the old recipe to cook a whole different batch of biscuits inspires a small, very, very, small hope that it's better next time. We'll see. I'm still wary of many of Nokia's problems outside of the OS and hardware (support, parts/replacement, customer service, etc.).

We'll never know 100%; Nokia hasn't let out numbers on their sales since the N97 and 5800. But with that said, I'm sure Android - due to the way it's on multiple phones - and even Apple has probably outsold the N900, but they didn't outsell all of the Nokia offerings in Finland combined.

The Nokia n8 doesn't seem like it will fair much. Heck it doesn't even look like Nokia has a real business. Maybe if Nokia got a new ceo there fortunes but as it is now Nokia isn't doing horribly well.

That 100 000 in 5 months stat has been corrected by Nokia months ago. Whoever came out with that rumour must have been paid very well. The real figure according to Nokia was more than 100 000 in 5 weeks .

That's good... at least they responded. That's much better than the deafening silence that caused the rumors.
