so its fully opened sources coolio, im sure there are already things in works to port some of my favorite maemo apps over, I actually just seen someting about gpodder running in meego which is something I grew to like recently

if you really like Maemo THAT much, why discard the N900. You have it here working exactly as it should for the intended device. Why would you even want a crippled Maemo on the N9?

And to Clarify, Nokia has stated that the N8 will be the last N-series phone to use Symbian. All future N-Series phones should be running MeeGo.

I dont think Nokia would take that step backwards in display. Look at the Blackberry Torch and the display on that POS. AT&T cant even give that thing away.
