I heard people called it Froyo. How can one tell? Please stop laughing... I already said I am a very average joe :)

Yes, flash 10 is installable and working, most of the time, not all the time.

Touch screen works just fine. HW keyboard also works. Virtual keyboard numeral is NOT working.

still waiting for the phone (and sms) functions to work
because n900 is my only phone & i cant afford to not being able to be reached/contacted by my friends & office

help me what u said is an auto insaller !!! but what dat stuck i m nt able to understand. plzz temme how to because need to get micro sd card i dnt have now.. nd what backup . wil it affect my data on maemo . nd last thing xacheiver nt workng can any else give zip/rar extractor plzzz.

i think you can check its firmware. the reason why i'm asking if it's froyo because that's the requirement to be able to install flash 10

I did, it is version AOSP :) whatever it meant.
I checked with wiki, the desktop appearance looked 2.2 and also, as you said, flash 10 is installable and working.

Everything is done by the auto-installer, one small hiccup is partition the microSD. just 3 lines of command for one to manually partition your microSD card in your N900, no need for Linux box or PC or whatnot. I already email to author Jay-C and it would be taken care of on a timely base.
