Up to the court systems whether or not they would allow it as evidence. :D And of course there's always the other side that stores the convo as well. Editing it there WOULD be illegal.

as I'm using python, I'm not able to use rtcom-eventlogger api, so I needed to stick with sqlite aproach. I can see the sms, when I open coversation with single contact, however I can't click on message to see the details and conversation with contact is not updated on main conversation screen, so I guess there is another database somewhere else that needs to be updated ?

I dont see any illegal things in writing sms to my own phone. But its a little bit strange, do you want to make someone jealous with that?

Enni, no, I'm not planing to use it for those purposes, it won't harm anyone.
it involves one trick I want to show to my friends, nothing illegal.

You guys don't want to know how much fun we've had with this kind of software. It is available for symbian. Don't remeber the name. Something like Fakesms.

Its really fun and usable sometimes, so if there is such an app, i'll install it immediately.

Here's an old trick that is related to this post:

1. Somehow gain access to a male friends phone and change his girlfriends number in their contacts to your number

2. Retreat to a safe distance and send a text from your phone to theirs (so it looks like it comes from their g/f) that says 'I think I'm pregnant"

3. Laugh.
