Re: my OCed N900 is still slow

thanks for reply guys! actually my N900 tends to get laggy when opening apps such as a simple firefox, it takes about 15-30secs. I don't know if that's normal. Also, sometimes my phone lags for 15-20secs when using another app when currently in one application, i.e. using mediabox while currently browsing using opera.

btw,

"if u want smooth then go with meego when it comes out for n900 saw latest video smooth as silk! and had portrait mode wich was awesomelicious!"

can you post a link? is this true that N900 can and will be upgraded to meego once it's out?

I haven't experienced such phone app lagging with Mediabox.

Do you have any phone related application installed? It's very likely that problems associated with problematic apps are discussed and worked around. It'd be helpful to your case if you could give us a list of phone related software installed.

For me, OCing helped a lot. getting it to 850 Mhz really showed a performance boost.

Are these FEELED 30 secs or REAL 30 Secs.
Cause when i just changed from my C2Q X9650 with 8 GB Ram my N900 may eventually feel a bit slow.

Regarding firefox, the Firefox does some strange things on startup, depending on your settings. Like reading your bookmarks, so, if you use firefox sync to sync your 6 billion Bookmarks, well, maybe the startup will be slow.

And some Pages in the Net are REALLY eating up ressources. iGoogle can (depending on your config there) eat up lots of ressources. There are some more tung options, search for tuning and swappines.
