The tablet ui that was demoed in june was quite impressive imo, so this could be quite interesting. I hope it's not too expensive though. The tablets out today are a bit too expensive for what they offer.


I think he was referring to the "Nokia Tablet Z500 is out to the world, nothing special or great, btw" comment by eldar. A bit of a sensitive subject that man :)

How about the software? If the Z500 was using Moorestown, wouldn't it mean there were tons of x86 software easily portable from other Linux distributions? Though most of them aren't designed to be used with touchscreen UI. ARM-based architecture would be better for N900 users as both devices could benefit from each other.

The key thing for completely new software is Qt, obviously. But still, it's an interesting descision.

Yup, the Chennai factory is HUGE, by the way. I've heard it described as a small city...

Anyway, I'm intrigued by this Z500 stuff...
