I had finally tried to flash the emmc after the flashing the firmware..the firmware was a success but My emmc failed on "device not found, waitin.." and that left Me with not only nothing in file manager..but also not allowing the device to boot..it goes up till the 5dots screen and off! After searching alot on the forum, I came up with the only solution which is even given by wiki maemo too..to install a ubuntu live cd..I did that..and as per a tutorial video I saw(I dnt have the link ryt now..sry) I could place the .deb flasher file on the desktop but for sum weird reason I cound't place the emmc file on the desktop which I wanna flash the n900 with! :( Left struck there again.. and finally I opted to give it to the Nokia care center..I collected it bk today..the device now starts wid frequent errors of application erro"calender closed" thats still fine but My file manager is still blank and My memory(emmc) shows 16.7gb free in device and 16.7gb for installable apps too!! :( now whats this new problem by nokia?? :( I want it normal..as it was :( and I tried fdisk..I get the message "fdisk:/not found" P.S: I have fdisk installed* any help will be heartly appreciated! |

Please post your partition table here to have some info about your device. Is rootsh installed or did the nokia people with their work erase it?
Code:
sudo gainroot |

So just fire up fdisk again and do the step by step procedure I listed and it should return your phone back to normal. The step was just to delete the extended partition, delete MyDocs, merge the unknown partition and MyDocs and recreate it. |
