post nr 71.copy and paste the code to /etc/conky/conky.conf be sure you delete the code in there first.i hope you now how to copy and paste code to system folders. after that you have to enable the temp sensor for conky. go xterm an: sudo gainroot echo bq27x00_battery >> /etc/modules after that reboot and conky will show you your temp success |

man im sorry, but have to ask, how do u copy system files ??? like i got the code fro the post.. in windows browser, i can copy text there,,, and in my n9000 im using file box, was able to locate conky confi... but have no clue how to oepn and paste the code !!! :S:S:S:S:S im a noob

and below post 71, is a zip file, which i downloaded, it has a config file, shal i use that to replace the one in n900? and if yes, is there a way ?

there are different wys for that.for example leafpad.
i use midnight commander.its a good working file explorer with many functions. download it go xterm. type root mc (thats cause midnight commander needs root to edit system files) then go to your conky conf tap on edit,erease the old code tap on the upper bar and push "paste" (you have to copy james code first) then exit and don't forget to save,type this in xterm: sudo gainroot echo bq27x00_battery >> /etc/modules reboot and you are finish;) |
