Re: "Powerbrickless" wall charger?
dude, nothing inside an AC to DC adapter "bends much" and is going to squeeze into a cable... lol
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC_adapter i'm pretty sure they put the components in a protective shell so people like you don't electrocute yourselves! seriously, you want a cable with capacitors and a transformer bulging out of it? WHY?? never mind, i don't want to know, i'll assume you're high or something. buy this instead: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.48827 |

Re: "Powerbrickless" wall charger?
if the brick isnt in the cable, it has to be in the device. and you do not want that.
i guess one could squeeze it onto the whole length of the cable to not have a big brick, but then the cable would be unusually thick. Quote:

Re: "Powerbrickless" wall charger?
There are some flexible electronics out there, and like i said, the stuff that don't bend much would be on the thicker part, the part that doesn't bend much.
I'm looking for somthing like this not for practical reasons, i just think it would be a nifty thing to have. |

Re: "Powerbrickless" wall charger?
It's not possible yet but maybe in 5-10 years. We already have laptop chargers down to the size of cellphone chargers, and cellphone chargers are getting smaller too.
