I would have been fine with a two-platform approach, wp7 and meego.
And let the customers choose. But wp7 only just stinks.

There's going to be small and short term negative effect, but long term the economy will be much better off, once all those people will start doing something constructive in properly managed businesess and organizations.

I think the whole smartphone explosion resembles another recent boom -- the housing market. People aren't going to stay willing to pay such huge monthly amounts for the small benefits they get. The decline and fall is coming.

nope, he didnt sell it for $0 . in an interview he said that they were paying microsoft a royality for wp7 and also swapping ip rights. so in fact he PAID microsoft to take it all.

microsolft got paid to take nokias software. ballmer said it wasnt an exclusive relationship. so HTC et al now get all nokias software too. and nokia paid microsoft for this.

I think its good nokia and microsoft has got together! Finally they will be able to come out with a phone that can shut apple up! With nokia onboard im sure wp7 will get really good!
