Re: [Announce] Internet Radio Widget

Nice widget, works rather well. Just the volume rocker doesn't seem to work when the phone is locked. Plus the widget seems to consume some small amounts of CPU time (1 - 3%) even when not listening to a radio.

Quick question: it seems that since the last CSSU, the widget dies as soon as you start listening to the radio. The last CSSU updated the QT libs to 4.7.2, could that be the issue?

Ye, it should be. I have already asked that in the CSSU thread and I'm waiting for an answer.

@ 0rphu: I get 0% cpu usage when not listening to radio checking with top, be sure the icon shown is the disabled radio one; if the radio stops while widget is active (internet goes off, radio server goes off etc) than cpu gets used instead.

Are we waiting on the CSSU to fix the QT install (I thought MAG was producing a quick update for that, or some such...) or what is the state of play here?

Miss the app I guess :(

Re: [Announce] Internet Radio Widget

No news, CSSU Qt 4.7.2 still in conflict with QMediaPlayer 1.0.2. Right now I'm busy, in a few days I'll make a "temp" version using Phonon instead of QtMobility.

Re: [Announce] Internet Radio Widget

Temp fix for who has CSSU installed. Get the package 2 posts below.

It needs qtmobility 1.1, so
Code:

apt-get install libqtm-11
in case.

 internetradiowidget (0.0.1) unstable; urgency=low

  * Initial Release.

 -- unknown <>  Thu, 10 Mar 2011 11:24:36 +0000

Description:
Code:

Widget to start a chosen streaming radio with a push.
InternetRadioWidget can read from a list txt file located in /home/user/MyDocs/.documents to fast switch radio url. Multiple istances and settings are supported to have several stations available: you can even listen to more than one at once.
Log of title metadata can be saved and is located in /home/user/MyDocs/.documents aswell. Also, widget can show hildon banners when title metadata changes.
When the button is pressed and its state is put to active, maemo touchscreen sound is disabled till button is pressed again or widget removed (with the normal exit, if process is killed than touchscreen sound must be enabled manually from xterminal with the command "maemo-xinput-sounds").
There is the option to use a custom image, check /opt/internetradiowidget/custom if interested. Widget opacity can be set and a custom label text can be shown if desidered.

Re: [Announce] Internet Radio Widget

I seem to have picked up trouble since the last CSSU update. Anyone else - no sound tho widget shows as if playing? May be my n900 issue as I have trouble with an app using qtm-12 (yes I know IRW uses qtm-11).
