Re: unable to install 'community ssu enabler' installation file corrupted

I have the same issue. If I try running "apt-get install community-ssu-enabler" after enabling the cssu repo, I get:

Code:

Nokia-N900-51-1:~# apt-get install community-ssu-enabler
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  community-ssu-enabler
0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 59 not upgraded.
Need to get 9038B of archives.
After this operation, 86,0kB of additional disk space will be used.
Get:1 http://repository.maemo.org fremantle/free community-ssu-enabler 0.6-5 [9038B]
Fetched 16,5kB in 0s (83,7kB/s)
Failed to fetch http://repository.maemo.org/community-testing/pool/fremantle/free/c/community-ssu-enabler/community-ssu-enabler_0.6-5_all.deb  Size mismatch
E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?
Nokia-N900-51-1:~#

Running "apt-cache show community-ssu-enabler" gives a size of 9038 bytes, but the file "http://repository.maemo.org/community-testing/pool/fremantle/free/c/community-ssu-enabler/community-ssu-enabler_0.6-5_all.deb" is 16492 bytes, which is consistent with the output above.

So what gives? Should I email the package manager? I'm a bit new at this stuff.

I installed rootsh and then tried the above commands, and it worked for me: Would it be a requirement not listed?

Re: unable to install 'community ssu enabler' installation file corrupted

I can confirm what the OP has reported HAM reports a corrupted installation file. I installed through xterm and everything completed fine.

Re: unable to install 'community ssu enabler' installation file corrupted

I uploaded a new package, it should be fixed now (assuming the repo doesn't mess up).

Refresh the repository and try again, sorry about the trouble :)

Re: unable to install 'community ssu enabler' installation file corrupted

I figured this out..for some reason when I re flashed, my repositories got messed up. i deleted each one..except the nokia ones and maemo extras which would not let me delete. I then went to http://repository.maemo.org/. all of the repositories after the flash were as listed on the site but extras testing was different. so i just reinstalled all of them. seems to have worked cause i could install the enabler after that.

Worked for me to, in that it installed, however I don't have an icon for actually run it. Only needs to be run once tho, right? So I could run it from a terminal?

Re: unable to install 'community ssu enabler' installation file corrupted

If you have mp-fremantle-community-pr installed the icon will get deleted, the script's still there though /usr/sbin/install-community-ssu
Make sure you run it as root (you can use sudo install-community-ssu if you don't have rootsh).

Re: unable to install 'community ssu enabler' installation file corrupted

Thanks, tells me that CSSU Enabler is already ... enabled. I rebooted, and I have extra options here and there, so I guess it's installed :)

Thanks for the help MohammadAG, much appreciated.
